Twin tower porn music: I Like to Watch on vinyl
The music
from Chris Korda's infamous "I Like to Watch"
video is
finally available on on vinyl. The video,
which combines 9-11 media coverage with professional
sports and hard-core pornography, has been downloaded more
than 250,000 times since it first appeared on the Church of Euthanasia
web site, on December 11 of last year. The Boston-based Church has been
advocating suicide, abortion, cannibalism, sodomy, and voluntary population
reduction since it was founded by Rev. Chris Korda in 1992.
The EP was released on Null Records,
and is distributed by
Possible Music, both in Berlin.
In addition to the original video mix,
the 12" includes house remixes by Chris Korda, Richard Bartz, and
Paul Davis, plus an industrial remix by Cannibal Whore Feast. The cover
features color images from the video, such as the WTC being licked
by a giant tongue.
Finding a label with the artistic integrity to release "I Like to Watch"
was not easy; Null Records was the eleventh label Korda tried. Several
labels agreed to the release, and then changed their minds after
talking to their distributors. Another label insisted on a plain
black cover, which would have sent the wrong message, says Korda:
"I'm not ashamed of being sexually aroused by 9-11, I'm ashamed
of being american. People are saluting the flag and praying to
Jesus while we incinerate what's left of the earth, and I'm sick of it."
